For any query, a search engine uses a simple protocol to give an accurate result. Search Engines first collect the keyword and crawl for the related keyword contents. After that, the search engine ranks them based on their quality score and relevancy.

SEO uses organic strategies like quality content, keyword density, a quality score to rank any website on a search result page. Every blogger and business use this strategy to attract maximum audience towards their web page or site.

What is SEM or Search Engine Marketing?

It is the marketing strategy to increase the visibility of a website or product through promoting on search engine result pages. Most of the time, you have seen products displayed on search engine pages related to your searches. You don't have to go to their specific websites. This is SEM, where a business promotes its product on the search result page.

SEM is a Paid Promotion and often referred to as PPC(Pay-Per-Click) model. In the PPC model, advertisers have to pay the search engine for every click published on the search engine result page.
